About YouTube:

YouTube is an online broadcast/streaming service that allows you to stream your content from any platform that supports RTMP or embedded videos, like Webex Events.

How YouTube Integrates with Webex Events:

  • Attendees can join directly from the agenda or click a live stream feature to instantly launch the live stream on mobile devices or computers.
  • To enable the live stream, click the Enable Live Stream toggle, and select YouTube.
  • Enter the live stream URL. Make sure the URL you copy from YouTube is an “embed URL”
  • Simply grabbing the link to a YouTube video from the URL bar won’t work for embedding. You must click Share, then Embed, and then copy the embed URL from the embed snippet.
  • Platforms like YouTube have very customizable privacy settings for videos, and if you don’t have the settings just right, videos may not embed in Webex Events.
  • You can also choose to use RTMP to live stream from YouTube directly in Webex Events event with an RTMP URL and Stream Key.
