Webex Events announcements (push notifications) is a powerful feature that allows you to quickly notify your attendees about important updates, and last-minute changes, or drive traffic to specific Event App features. You can schedule announcements to be sent at a specific time or send them instantly. Attendees receive push notifications directly on their mobile devices, and on the web version, a red indicator alerts them to new messages in the Announcements feature.
Creating announcements is straightforward. Access the Announcements page, click the New Announcement button, and provide the necessary information such as the sender, recipients, message, and optional links. Once sent, attendees can view and interact with announcements on the web or tap the push notification on their mobile devices to access the announcement directly. You can also track metrics like views, date and time, and clicks to gain insights into attendee engagement.
After you’ve sent an announcement or two, review the Feature Comparison chart on the Event App’s Metrics tab to learn how people are interacting with them. Metrics include:

Yes! If you’ve added Groups to your Event App, select one or more of those Groups for a more personalized and targeted announcement.
You can also send an announcement to all attendees who’ve added a specific session to their personal agenda when you need to move or cancel a session.
In the web version of the Event App, attendees see a red indicator appears on the Announcements feature to let them know there’s a new message.
